These pedal-operated bins have been made for 80 years by a small work-shop in north-west Germany for the catering trade – where, needless to say, they have to stand up to rough treatment. Ordinary bins are made of 0.3 - 0.5 mm thick steel sheeting – ours are of 0.75-mm-thick galvanized, coated steel. They’re stable, non-slip, dent-resistant, and protected at the bottom by a foam rubber tread. The inside bin is of 0.5-mm-thick galvanized steel. It has a good-looking lid of high-gloss stainless steel with a hinge attachment to the body. Its all-round rubber seal ensures that it closes quietly. It’s opened by a sprung foot-pedal with automatic re-closing action. It’s extra-strong, with a non-slip rubber coating, and can be locked open if required. All bins are completely in-house products – both work and parts.
