Made of Gallusser leather, and lined with dense-pile lambswool throughout right up to the top. The lambskin inner sole can be taken out if required. Gallusser leather gives a surprising softness and suppleness to this otherwise big, solid boot. The natural 10% fat content of this leather has been retained (for water-proofing purposes), and the whole high leg of the boot is of one piece of leather attached to the front with a minimum of well-placed stitches. The boot is double-stitched with a 3-mm-thick insole of leather, and has a cork-reinforced ball of foot and steel metal joint; there is a middle sole of insulating, shock-absorbent leather, and the outer sole has a pronounced rubber profile.
