This is a simplified version of the 1886 Hellmann ombrograph that was popular with German meteorologists. A mark on the glass cylinder scale corresponds to the same number of litres per square metre. The stainless steel rod (8 mm dia.) is 137 cm long. The lead crystal funnel (height 21 cm, dia. 12 cm) has a millimetre scale.
