The hardest wood.

This chopping block is made of oak with the work surface cut against the grain of the wood to give maximum hardness and solidity.

Please note:

Thanks to its high tannic acid content, oak is a particularly germ-resistant wood. After prolonged contact, tannic acid can sometimes cause discolouring in certain foodstuffs – this is however completely harmless.
