These staplers from Vanløse were first designed in 1946. The company founder, Folmer Christensen, was able to rely on the skills of a talented industrial designer and the Scandinavian influence is quite evident. So the Folle stapler has come to epitomise Danish design in this area. From the very outset, the staplers were ordered not only by discerning office supply outlets but also by exclusive furniture stores - and this remains so to this day.
Folle desk staplers are still made of sheet steel using the original machines and tools. They are equipped with four robust spring mechanisms: to flip open the stapler head and the lever, to adjust the staple plate (you can choose whether the staples close inwards or outwards) and to load the staples. Using 24/6 staples you can staple together up to 25 sheets and the chamber holds a maximum of 90 staples. The sheet steel is powder-coated, stapler head cover and stapler knob are nickel-plated. One detail of the smaller desk stapler owes its existence more to the demonstration of the material thickness of the sheet steel that to its function as a stapler: the base of the stapler has a groove allowing the stapler to also be used as an opener.
