Glass bead Christmas tree decorations from Czechia.

Glass production has a 400-year-old tradition in Gablonz, Czechia. The production of glass beads, hand or mouthblown, as well as multiple strings and small glass tubes is a specialty of the jewellery industry. It was developed in the 18th century and soon became an important branch of its own. Silvered, polished or even gold-plated, they were strung up and bent into various shapes with thin wires. We have selected five traditional shapes from the vast variety of the Gablonz Christmas decorations.
