Pretty sporty – Heschung sports shoes made of kangaroo hide.

As a rule, you can find shoes of kangaroo hide in places where especially durable shoes are required, one famous example being the soccer world cup of 1954 where the German team wore this very type of shoes to their victory. Kangaroo skin structured completely differently from cowhide: The collagen fibres are a lot more resistant to rupture and thus extraordinarily tough. The simple design of these sports shoes we have manufactured for us at Heschung in the Alsace reminds of hiking shoes. Contrary to our frequently formulated principles they are not sewn but pinched, by the Ago method. After all, a seam wouldn’t really look good on such an elegant and narrow shape. So we listened to the professionals at Heschung who have been in the sports shoe business since 1934. And so far, our own tests have been exceedingly successful.

The sole of our kangaroo shoe is made of India rubber and is thus light and flexible, with a very comfortable instep and cushioned tongue and collar. The inner sole is made of latex-covered cork.
