Red Wing in Minnesota have been making working shoes renowned for their excellent fit and long life since 1905. Their shoes have long been considered essential for steel construction workers, farmers, hunters or other occupations where tough, reliable shoes are necessary.

Model 875 – a sturdy laced boot.
Model 875 came onto the market in 1950; in 1952, the crepe sole was improved and since then the shoe has not been altered at all. The full-grain cowhide from which the laced boots are made undergoes a special oil tanning process. During this process the cowhide gains a fat content of 22% (8–10% is normal), which makes the leather uniquely supple, hard-wearing and water-repellent.
