These wallets are made by a fine leather maker in Berlin from nappa leather from southern Germany; the metal fittings come from Italy.

Nappa.

Nappa is a firm, elastic leather frequently used for small leather products such as purses and wallets: once tanned - the nappa leather used here is first mineral-tanned, then vegetable-tanned - it is as soft as cloth and, even though extremely thin, is remarkably resilient. It retains the natural grain of the cowhide, further emphasised using a special process.
