Morocco leather. A leather legend.

Basically, Morocco leather is wonderfully fine-pored, flexible, soft and endlessly durable goatskin. It is quite rare, for its production requires utmost care in all the processing stages: selected goatskins, a complicated vegetable tanning, careful dying and finally an enormously complicated finishing. Morocco leather is “glazed”, i.e. it is gently rubbed with a glass hemisphere during which process it acquires its even colouring. Finally, it is gently rubbed with a round timber made of cork, changing directions again and again. Our morocco leather is rubbed in eight different directions, thus giving it its utterly soft texture and bringing out the characteristic, beautiful natural grain. Morocco leather is the ideal material for portfolio and bookbinder products. Ours is manufactured by the only leather factory in Germany that still makes morocco leather. The finishing is done by the German purse-makers Ulbrich and Kralle.
