The hard glass body of this nail file is acid treated to make the finest of pores; this results in an especially smooth surface that doesn’t damage the nails when filing. Instead of tearing at the nails, it gently straightens and smoothes the edges, which prevents the intrusion of dirt particles and bacteria. Hardened glass will not wear out mechanically, so that this file will never turn dull. There is no mineral abrasion. Its only weakness is that, just like any other glass object, it can break, in spite of the very durable material. Our file comes from a Czech manufacturer, who invented the hardened glass file in the first place. There are many crude imitations on the market.
