10 g of compact powder in an aluminium-sheathed plastic compact (7.6 cm dia.), with a powder puff and a mirror in the lid.
Théophile Leclerc, a Parisian pharmacist, created the formula for his subsequently famous »Poudre Dermophile« in 1881. The name is no accident - Leclerc was one of the first of his profession to attach value to an absolutely skin-friendly powder.
His products are sterilised and non-perfumed and thus suitable even for very sensitive skin. It can absorb a large amount of skin grease and so stop make-up from running.
The basis is finely ground rice from the Camargue. Together with its dermatological benefits, this powder owes its success primarily to the completely non-shiny complexion it helps to accomplish and to the colours mixed by Leclerc. With great meticulousness, he developed the right colouring for every skin type. Leclerc's powder was one of the symbols of the Belle Epoque, but to real insiders it has never lost its great reputation in the many decades since. The stars in the model world bought and still buy from the Leclerc Pharmacy in the Place de la Madeleine in Paris. Until recently, the pharmacy's products were only available in Paris directly from the Leclerc Pharmacy. But now we have them too, in the following colour mixes:
- Bronzé
(a golden brown - for your holiday complexion)
- Chair Ocrée/Sablé
(slightly beige - for your skin after only a few days of sun)
- Camélia/Ivoire
(for very light skin)
- Banane
(a delicate yellow - for light to medium skin).
