The Key Question.

There are many people who repress a shudder if they think of keys - their main association with the (to them) revolting little objects being the one of loss. The lament of those who are, due to untidiness or lack of concentration, overwhelmed by terror whenever they see a locked door, suddenly faced with the question "where is my key?" is never-ending and heartbreaking. Countless remedies have been tried. The electronic industry adorned the keys with chip-sized cowbells, which the bad but ever worrying cowman was able to set in motion by a transmitter. There were some people who, just for reassuring themselves, kept repeating the procedure for so many times that when they were finally ready to leave the house the batteries had given out, the keys were silent and untraceable and the rebound of depression a lot severer. The obvious solution seems to be the old saying: A tidy house, a tidy mind.
