Whole skin, about 50x60 cm, which can be cut smaller if desired. (It may have one or two holes, as the animal will have been shot in the wild.)
Did you know that chamois leather, wetted and then very thoroughly wrung out, makes an excellent duster? It gets up every last bit of dust, holds it fast and lets you wash it all out. Genuine chamois leather, naturally treated – not chemically dyed leather strips or synthetic leather substitute – is almost a vanished art, but one man in Germany who still makes it is our tanner Jürgen Kolesch (whose workshop by the way also produces our famous leather trousers – see our Clothing Catalogue). The absorbent (and, of course, wringing-out) capacity of real chamois leather beats all substitutes hands down! Not only that, it lasts a life-time. So you can see our leather cloths as an investment, if you will. Please note: Due to the natural tanning process, the cloths give off a sight fluff-like deposit during their first use. This is quite normal.
