Ceiling Airer
The cast iron cross girders hold pine wood rods of 145 cm length. Two pulleys are mounted on the ceiling and a wall mounted clamp keeps the airer in place.
2 cast iron cross girders, transparent varnish, W 38 x H 15 cm. 4 pine wood rods (1.4 cm strong), L 145 x B 3 cm. 2 cast iron rolls: 1 single and 1 double pulley; 1 clamp plus wall mount.
10 metres of jute rope. Weight ca. 2 kilos, maximum load 8 kg. Instructions are included.

Back in style: the airer.
On the continent this product has for long been virtually unknown: ceilingmounted airers were only ever used in a few printing shops and papermills. However, in Britain these airers have been widespread since Victorian times and can still be found in some private homes. Warm air rises up to the ceiling of a room and so it makes a lot of sense to use this energy not only for heating a room but also for drying clothes at the same time.
Another great advantage is that one can hang many different items on an airer and just pull them up and out of the way, e.g. kitchen equipment or tools. We recently saw an »improvised« airer on one of the home-improvement programs (MDF-and-broom-handles-style) but ours is based on an early model and much more attractive.
Please note:
We do not include wall plugs for mounting the rollers to the ceiling. You should choose plugs individually depending on your ceiling.
