Carrom is a fascinating small breed between pool and table hockey. The shooting piece is accelerated to incredible speed on the 74 sq cm board that can be made even more slippery with a powdered lubricant. Nine gaming pieces and the red “Queen” have to be pocketed, only aided by the players’ dexterity, shooting skills and geometrical inspiration. This is the large tournament version of the game, made in Italy, with a frame of beech wood and a medium density fiberboard veneered with beech.
