For putting together our plated steel reproduction (scale 1:32) of the American Hawkeye Truck – manufactured by the Hawkeye Truck Company between 1916 and 1933 – you will need special tools obtainable from the Czech firm of Kovap. Mounting or sticking on the accessories is an easier business. You are provided with stickers and containers in two (four for bigger models) packs that come with the kit – all you need is a pair of scissors (see p. 23 of our main catalogue) or a graphic artist’s knife, plus ordinary paper sticker and of course some engineering flair. While we’re on the subject of stickers: the motifs we’ve chosen are specifically designed to pay homage to the fire-quenching and thirst-quenching professions!
