We have to say this first: natural feather shuttlecocks are not made to last forever (practised players wear down 2 or 3 in one hour). However, their flight quality is so overwhelmingly outstanding, that they are still used in professional badminton (with no worthy replacement in sight).
And while a drive on a plastic ball produces a sound which we can only (helplessly) paraphrase as an onomatopoeic “sproing”, our natural feather shuttlecock acknowledges every hit with a full “bang”.
Made from goose quill, with a plastic lacquered cork head. 6,5cm dia., length 8,5cm. Weight 6g. 12 pieces.
