A modern Australian Classic – the Boomerang.

Anyone who throws a boomerang – just for fun, or whatever – always notices one thing: it's not only the boomerang that comes back, but also the pleasure in throwing things that you once had as a child. Soon you're immersed in the magical world of ballistic disciplines like Fast Catch, Trick Catch or Juggling. The original boomerangs were used by the Aborigines for hunting – they were bigger and heavier, and flew at their prey in a straight line. Today's boomerang is small and light, and flies back to the thrower. Flight time can sometimes be pretty long: others take only 3 seconds to come back, and are used for Fast Catch competitions. Others again return to the exact throwing point, and are used for Trick Catch or Juggling. The 'Australian Round' is yet another discipline – here length of throw and precision of return are graded together. Looking at the names of these sports you can see that the world leaders are Australia and America. But Germany is in the top league too. Our boomerangs are hand-made by one of Germany's most experienced and skilful experts. They're easy to throw, but not easy to break!
