F. Hammann. Finest leather goods

The "Fabrik feiner Lederwaren" Franz Hammann in Offenbach, Hesse, one of the German centers of leather goods manufacturing, is one of the oldest leather manufacturers in Germany. For five generations now, the family business has been producing high-quality leather goods and travel accessories that are as sophisticated as they are durable, in some cases still on old special machines. Hammann has special experience not only in fine tailoring, but also in the production of leather bags and cases with frames and handles, where precise workmanship and high-quality materials play an even greater role than is already the case with fine tailoring. To ensure the quality of its leather products, Hammann (since 1864) produces at its headquarters and processes only full-grain leather of European origin. Locks and fittings are made in Germany. Here, too, the special feature is in the detail: they are all milled from solid brass and alloy steel and polished by hand. This can be seen in the mirror-like surfaces that could not be achieved with "drum polished sheet metal" parts.
