Italian spice mill Fungus

In their native Italy, these small but fine spice mills are almost part of the cityscape in many places. This is hardly surprising, as they have been built in this form for at least half a century. Do you recognize the design model from nature? It's the porcini mushroom, fungo porcino in Italian. The mill body, turned from beech wood and painted dark, is smooth to the touch. Only the inner workings of our mills differ. The pepper mill comes with an anodized steel grinder - ideal for pepper and corrosion-resistant around stoves and hot food. In the salt mill, an equally corrosion-resistant ceramic grinder is waiting to be used. You can adjust the grind from fine to coarse using the locking knob. By the way, if you want to use the mills as a duo, you can tell them apart at a glance: The locking knob on the pepper mill is made of brass, on the salt mill it is made of steel.
