Please note that alpaca bedding is a purely natural product. At first, it may still exude a slight odour, which fades over time and should be completely gone after the first cleaning.

Light and Warm. Alpaca for All Seasons.
The alpaca bedding consists of two single blankets of different thicknesses: a lighter one for the summer and a slightly more luxuriantly filled one for the transitional period between seasons. Both blankets are filled with soft, warm alpaca hair and can be tied together, so they produce a very warm winter blanket. The air in the cavity between the blankets, meanwhile, provides additional heat insulation. Also, since the bedding is very light, it is ideal for those who prefer very warm but lightweight bedding. Due to the soft alpaca filling and the quilting, which is adjusted to the filling weight of the blankets, they fall loosely and nestle very nicely next to the body, even when tied together, so that thermal bridges are avoided.
The alpaca hair used in the blankets comes from the Swabian Alb, where one of the largest alpaca herds in Germany can be found. With a fibre fineness of between 22 and 28 microns, the hair is fine, but not fine enough to get through the fabric of the cover: The cover is made of fine, dense percale, a plain weave cotton fabric, which is produced according to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). Through this combination of alpaca filling and cotton-fabric cover, the quilted bed cover is both moisture- and heat-regulating and ensures a pleasant climate for sleeping. It is made in Baden-Wuerttemberg.
Alpaca. Exquisite Hollow Fibres.
Alpaca hair is one of the most valuable natural fibres there is. It is extraordinarily fine and yet very resistant, as it is adapted in its structure to the great climatic variations of the Andean mountain region, the home of the alpacas. Amongst other things, it is hollow inside, which gives it excellent thermal insulation capabilities. Alpaca hair also contains very little lanolin and is therefore very well tolerated by everyone.
