Bed Hans

A shapely and filigree construction: Developing from the head and footboards made of steel, finely crafted steel feet provide a secure stand for bed HANS. When you fix up the bed, you connect them to the two side elements of the bed. Together with the white-coated birch plywood elements of the sides, they form a solid supporting unit. Handily, you can connect the head and footboards and the two sides by a slotted joint without any metal fittings. The bed, featuring the interplay of the two materials steel and wood, appears very slender – an impression that is reinforced by the wood coating of the side parts visible at the edges. Nevertheless, the bed convinces by its stability and load-bearing capacity. Though the concept proves independent in the formal design, you find references of typical design features of the Ulm school in the choice of materials and the construction.

Particularly noteworthy is the high-rise headboard made of white-coated birch plywood that we offer separately to round off the bed. You can easily attach it without any tools to the steel frame at the head end of the bed. We supply the bed in two sizes: 140 and 180 cm in width. The broader one features a central rail and supports two slatted frames in width 90 cm. The bed HANS is suitable for rollable slatted frames and slatted frames with a fixed frame surrounding them. We recommend the slatted frames from our range. Please note the instructions we provide with the measurements of the bed regarding the lowering of the mattress height. The bed comes without a headboard, slatted frame, mattress and bed linen. Please order them separately.
