Monasterial leather sandals from Aquitaine.
These classical simple leather sandals are hand-made in the newly found Benedictine monastery Sainte Marie de la Garde (near Agen, France). Br. Sebastien is the shoemaker and attaches major importance to a clear, puristic shape and the best possible processing. He provides the shoes for the monks of his "mother monastery" Le Barroux in the French Provence. The vegetable-tanned cowhide for the straps and the insole comes exclusively from Central Europe. The leather is fully tinted und finely polished. A 1 cm thick, especially flexible and, at the same time abrasion-resistant, brand rubber sole provides very good walking comfort. Already at first glance, but even more following intensive comparison, it became clearly visible that this is not only the actually best sandal made in a monastery, but also a very remarkable sandal in terms of material, shape and processing. Weight per pair in size 40 approx. 400 g.
