    Anyone who enters the Forest of Brocéliande (Brécilien in Breton) can journey to fantastic places because this is where the tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table played out, and where today you can visit the mysterious burial place of his tutor, Merlin, the magician. On the outskirts of this enchanting landscape is the Trappist monastery of Campénéac (Kempenieg in Breton), where the stuff of legends is made, chiefly in the form of Breton cakes and pastries and sweet treats.
    Nuns in ordinary, everyday clothes are working hard in the unromantic atmosphere of an austere workspace that is now the bakery. The workplace is modern, and complies with regulations, with both technology and manual work playing their part in the measure required. These are typical aspects of cloister work today.
