Camel Milk Soap
Natural Care from the Desert. Camel Milk Soap.
Camel milk has been an integral part of the nutrition of the nomads in Central Asia and the Arab countries as long as the camel itself: for more than 3000 years. Camel milk contains five times as much Vitamin C and ten times more iron as cow milk, but only half the fat. It is also rich in Vitamin A and some B vitamins like B1, B2, B12. So it is not surprising that it has a positive effect on the body and immune system and the skin benefits from its use as well.
Our camel milk soap is manufactured in a cold process with bio-certified first pressing olive oil which is rich in proteins, minerals and vitamins. The lanolin component of the camel milk soothes the skin, contributes moisture and keeps the skin supple as do almond and coconut oil along with Cupuaçu butter while adding a pleasant fragrance.
The Cupuaçu tree, which is related to the cacao tree, is found primarily in Brazil, where its fruits are used like cacao and are just as appreciated. The Cupuaçu butter, derived from the fruit, is rich in B vitamins, vitamins A, E and C, phytosterols and minerals, helps to maintain the elasticity and moisture balance of the skin. The camel milk comes from animals bred and raised in a natural environment in Dubai. The milk makes up to 5% of the soap – the largest amount of milk which can be used in soap. A not uninteresting note: If the animals are not being properly kept, the camel mothers stop producing milk – an efficient way to ensure for keeping in a natural environment (a kind of signal communication which might benefit many other farm animals).
