Carbon Steel Hohenmoor Cooking Knife
Patinated in the Hohenmoor knife manufactory
Due to its fine structure, carbon steel can be sharpened until it is much sharper but it isn't rustproof. In order to protect these carbon steel blades against corrosion they are patinated in the Hohenmoor knife manufactory of Ulrich Hennicke in an immersion bath of coffee and tea which also provides them with a highly unique look.
Carbon steel knifes are not suitable for dishwasher use. Dry knifes off after washing (apply some blade oil when unused for longer period of time). Rust film can be removed with a rust eraser. Re-sharpen with a sharpening steel.
