A Double Boiler.
This double boiler, or bain-marie, is admirably suited for preparing delicate sauces, side dishes, chocolate glazes and other sensitive dishes. The water is heated in the lower part, a tin-plated copper pot. The insert, in which the sauce is prepared, is made of porcelain with a wall thickness of only 1.5 mm: It disperses heat quickly and evenly.
The pot is suitable for all stove types except induction stoves.
