The carpets are woven in standard widths with a selvage edge. They must only be hemmed on the cut edges to keep them from unraveling (and so that you can receive your guarantee). The manufacturer hems the cut edges with an appropriately colored cloth band.
A reminder: Please be aware that the coconut matting runners and carpets, in particular the red ones, can cause discoloring on light colored flooring, especially when the surface of the flooring has been treated.
