Lutz Geißler is one of the best-known bread bloggers in the German-speaking world. Together with the general practitioner Björn Hollensteiner, who also bakes breads and rolls for years according to his own recipes and publishes his recipes, he has written the bread baking book No. 2. For this, the two authors first developed 25 basic recipes for rye, wheat and spelt pastries - from rustic wholemeal bread to delicate pastries. Each of these basic recipes is varied fourfold, so that in addition to the original recipe, a pure sourdough version is always offered, as well as versions as no-knead bread (without a kneading machine) and as overnight bread. Altogether thus not only 100 prescriptions are available, but also 100 temporal variants, by which everyone, which bakes after this book, can select itself the variant fitting for it into the daily routine. A comprehensive basic section with practical tips completes the book. It complements the contents of Bread Baking Book No. 1, but both books also function as independent works. Last but not least, the recipes are easy to follow even for the inexperienced thanks to the well laid out step-by-step instructions and the numerous vivid photographs.
