    General Information

    The Christmas Story. Wrap. Pop-up

To bring children closer to the Christmas story, a nativity scene is made for them. We offer the classic Pappka® house here in a set with eight nativity figures: So the child can imaginatively deal with the events surrounding Mary, Joseph and Christ's birth and decorate the house to create a unique nativity scene. Even a little straw is included in the set to bring the stable of Bethlehem to life.
The Pappka® house is made of sturdy cardboard that even takes a knock or a misstep in stride - and can even be carried around. The house is designed in the classic pop-up style: When the model is unfolded, the house also unfolds - and off goes the craft and play fun. The house only needs to be "built up" the first time it is unfolded, and this is done in no time at all with just a few simple steps. If the game is to be interrupted for other important activities - bedtime, scavenger hunt or skyping with grandma - the house can be folded up to save space and stored on the shelf.
Folded into a handy folder format, it can also be transported from place to place thanks to the integrated carrying handles - because crafting together with friends is often twice as much fun, role-playing included. (Perhaps the young tinkering artist but also reluctant to move further than arm's length away from his art project.)

    Intelligent. Creative. Competent.

Discover the fun to craft with paper: Craft a farm, a nativity scene, a fire station, a hotel, or a railway station ... A Pappka® model offers almost unlimited possibilities. The model’s initial inconspicuousness soon proves to be a key advantage. It’s a challenge to transform the cardboard construction into your personal dream house and an opportunity to tap your creativity. Find your own way and colour the Pappka® model with drawing pencils or lightfast markers, acrylic paint or water-soluble crayons, pencils, or paints. Further decoration may comprise feathers, glitter stones, hay, moss, buttons and shells. You can turn each model into a setting and complement it with props such as toy cars, dolls, stuffed animals, etc. Invite all toy figures that have long-awaited to play a new role in the children’s room. Children’s creativity can fully unfold here. Besides, handicrafts playfully train fine motor skills. What’s more, by training their motor skills and mental creativity, the children – almost unawares – mobilize their brainpower.

They Know Their Pappenheimers and Their Crafting Skills. MuseKind®.

While it is not known whether the Pappenheimers (Germans literary great Fridrich Schiller refers to them in his play “Wallenstein’s death” and suggests that Wallenstein knows his troops well) were cardboard fans (“Pappen” are cardboards in German and “-heimer” refers to those living in houses made from that cardboard), it’s a given that the MuseKind® founders do love the versatile material. The Leipzig-based start-up MuseKind® came into the world when a design student came up with a fresh idea and met a designer and a marketing expert who wanted to bring new momentum to the toy industry. The founders Martina Musek (a designer of toys and educational games), Antje Stumpe (a graphic designer) and Cordula Hundrieser (a marketing specialist) know what they are doing. As a mother, each of them learned how quickly children discard a handicraft if the resulting object limits the options for creative (role) playing. MuseKind®’s products, therefore, are designed to offer fun beyond the crafting process. Without question, the Pappka® house meets the founders’ objective – and sustainably. Indeed, a Pappka® house has sustainable properties in both senses of the word. MuseKind® uses robust, high-quality cardboard for the playhouse and produces it resource-saving from raw materials from sustainable forestry. The Pappka® products are assembled in diaconal workshops in Leipzig. All other production steps, from printing to die-cutting to packaging (plastic-free, for sure), take place in Saxony as well, in regional proximity to each other.
