General Information
The "Elysian" from the Mallalieus of Delph weaving mill in Yorkshire is elysian by name, meaning heavenly. Rightly so, because it has additional, firmly anchored weft threads, which - cut open and sheared - form an insulating layer on which raindrops and snow crystals remain without contact with the base fabric. Its fine herringbone structure ensures that the heavy fabric is soft to the touch and at the same time resilient and dirt-repellent. A rare combination of actually incompatible properties. Chrysalis manufactures from it this duffle coat for us.
Duffle Coat. Cut and Specifications.
The Duffle Coat has four loop-and-toggle fastenings made of leather and polished horn. The 100% viscose lined sleeves make it easy to slip on and off when worn over a blazer, and the hood has button-up flaps to protect the neck area. The coat sports two patch pockets with flaps and a perfect finish with French seams and piped selvedges.
