Finnish tea towel linen
Linen Cloth. For tableware and color accent
From the Finnish linen and jacquard weaving company Lapuan Kankurit, we source these tea towels with different colored sides. Made of pure linen, they are absorbent, grippy and durable. Due to their medium material weight of 250 g/sqm, they are suitable not only for dishes but also as hand towels. Lapuan Kankurit weaves the tea towels like a doubleface with two colors: with natural-colored yarn in the warp and colored yarn in the weft. This creates different colored sides, so you can use the towels to create a colorful accent in your kitchen, depending on your mood.
The weaving mill uses only the best linen yarns from long fiber flax of European provenance, including for these tea towels. That they are woven on a shuttle loom is evidenced by their selvedges on the long sides. They are created when the loom is set up specifically for the width of the woven material and the weft thread is not simply cut off, but continued endlessly. Thus, only the upper and lower cut edge must be hemmed.
