    General Information

    Hand charm and meditation object

You do not necessarily need him, and yet you will not want to miss him, once you have him: this small keychain made of forged and blued titanium. The shape of the legendary ginkgo leaf stimulates the imagination, the light, warm titanium you also like to take in your hand.

    Titanium, the jack-of-all-trades

Titanium is a metal of our everyday lives, and for many people it is even a vital metal when it comes to prostheses. It was only discovered shortly before aluminum at the end of the 18th century, and it took a long time, until the middle of the 20th century, before it could start its triumphal procession. This was due to the manufacturing process, which developed only gradually and is very complex, leading to pure titanium(ium) only via intermediate thermal-chemical steps. Titanium is very light, extremely tough and dimensionally stable, and plays a major role in aviation. Its beautiful bluish oxide layer also makes it interesting for jewelry making.

    Article Number 19990

Length 8 cm, width 3.5 cm. Weight 20 g. The form may vary considerably.
This little key ring made of blued titanium is forged in the Königsmünster Abbey smithy in the Meschede monastery. Friar Abraham is overlooking the work there and chose the material for this key ring: titanium. It is light and haptically warm to the hand. And the shape of the legendary ginkgo leaf can be many things: a worry stone or pendant, a paperweight; there are other possibilities.
