My garden - A bee paradise
Of bees and of flowers.
Advisor, reference work and a plea for diversity - all this is Bruno P. Kremer's volume about the garden as a paradise for bees. A natural scientist himself, he uses this book to advocate that instead of the monotonous permanent greenery that the monocultures of our environment often offer, we should once again create a colorful food supply in our own garden that is rich in variety for bees, bumblebees and other insects. The introduction compiles thirty pages of interesting facts about the life and biology of bees. A species section with detailed plant portraits follows, which gather interesting facts about, among other things, location requirements of plants in the garden and their nutritional value for bees.
A note on reading:
Please note that the sorting within the species section is based on the plant systematics. Botanically, of course, this is correct - but if you are a reader expecting an order according to the alphabet, perhaps a bit confusing at first. The register facilitates orientation.
