Gooseneck Kettle Made of Borosilicate Glass
Advantage long neck. For more precision.
Hand filtering has been experiencing a renaissance for some time now. Long ridiculed in this country as somewhat old-fashioned, it is now back on everyone's lips as "Pour Over". And quite rightly so, in our opinion. This brewing method produces a very mild coffee that is largely free of bitter substances. Hundreds of aromas are contained in each individual coffee bean, which are optimally released by hand filtering. To achieve this, however, one thing is needed above all: precision, or rather accuracy, when pouring the coffee grounds over the filter. Not only should the water be at the right temperature (94 to 96 °C is ideal). Another decisive factor for enjoyment is the careful, targeted swing from the pot in circular motions. This is because in order to achieve an even extraction, the coffee grounds should always be completely wetted. This is where our borosilicate glass kettle with gooseneck comes into play, facilitating this process with the shape of its low-set, curved spout. Borosilicate glass is the heat-resistant and shatterproof specialty glass that, at the time of its invention in the late 19th century, caused a sensation primarily as laboratory glass in the optical and chemical industries. The Bauhäusler were later the first to give it an extended function as beautifully shaped utility glass in the kitchen.
