Great carvings

General Information
Carving like Michel
Michel from Lönneberga is probably the best-known little carving artist who, whenever he was once again locked in the shed after a neat prank, carves wooden men. Today, children are no less likely to concoct practical jokes, but perhaps the opportunities to carve and the knowledge to do so have become somewhat scarcer. This book's introductory carving course provides information about different types of wood, how to use a knife, and carving techniques. It then shows children how to carve their own wooden men, arrows, wands, or barbecue skewers. Once they are more confident with the carving knife, larger projects such as rafts, windmills or whistles can be tackled. The 16 carving instructions with varying degrees of difficulty show step-by-step how to do it in many pictures. Missing only a proper carving knife.
