    General Information

    Exclusive

Discover singular products that may remind you of items you already know and appreciate; however, these products – exclusively available from us – feature a refined design meeting our clear-cut requirements.

The format of these greeting cards is made for all those who have ever faced the paralyzing fear of the blank sheet of paper: ideal to be able to set out the friendly wish and greeting, but not so large that you would be forced to meaningless essays. We offer the greeting cards in a set of ten different motifs of historical animal drawings: Owl, insect, penguin, dronte, lobster, chameleon, monkey, turtle, octopus and sardines.

    Drawing. A Path towards Knowledge.

Recognition is based on identifying specific characteristics. This conclusion rests on the notion that the more comprehensive and detailed the identification, the more precise and accurate the knowledge. Against this background, it becomes understandable why scientific drawing is still in use. By its very nature, drawing requires a focused view of every detail. Unlike the photographer, for example, the draughtsman must concentrate on every detail and not overlook anything to capture the object in its entirety and bring it on paper in a realistic manner. For this reason, botanists, zoologists and archaeologists still practise scientific drawing to grasp all the features of the object of research. Drawing is a path to knowledge in research. So it is no wonder that the motifs of this stationery - created on the basis of historical illustration from an extensive collection of 18th-century prints and drawings - make no distinction between fossil and living organism, between lower and higher evolutionary stages. With the utmost precision and attention to detail, they reproduce without (pre)judgement what was noticed (and thus recognised) on close inspection.
