Heschung Men’s Shoe with a Leather Strap
For Mountains and Valleys.
This mountain shoe, also good for the lowlands, is a textbook example of the Heschung way of making shoes: double stitched from the best materials and robust. The sole with the deep profile is made of Vibram® microcell rubber, a lighter and more shock resistant material than a solid rubber sole. In coordination with the hooks and pairs of eyelets, the striking leather strap running over the instep with a metal buckle provides a snug fit on the foot. The heel collar is padded and a leather loop stitched into the reinforced heel helps in slipping on the shoe.
Chaussures Heschung. Double-Stitched Shoes from France.
Eugène Heschung set up his first workshop in Alsace in 1934 and specialised from the very beginning in hiking and hunting shoes. His motto: a good walking shoe should be comfortable, weather-resistant, durable and long-living. The double stitching is done based on the traditional model of hand-welt stitching – in this way the welt is pressed outwards before the sole is put on, to give the shoe its characteristic appearance. The inner sole is made from chrome and vegetable tanned calf leather.
