Civil re-enactment.
The Hudson Bay Tobacco Box had been used as a tobacco box and a tinder box too. When exposed to sunlight, it was possible to ignite a fire through the sixfold magnifying glass lens. The lens was hidden underneath the small lid. During twilight and darkness the tinder material (not included) stored underneath was used. The box is cut, pressed and formed with hand-made tools by Cash and, like the other boxes, impresses through its material thickness and closes firmly and couples frictionally (like the technician says).

From shotguns to pillboxes.
Not only, but mainly, in the United States numerous clubs and groups are dedicated to "Re-Enactment". They recreate scenes of historical battles – mostly of the American wars of liberation and the American Civil War. Therefore, the participants make huge efforts. In every detail, the uniforms resemble those of Washington's troops or the southern or northern state soldiers and even the weapons are reconstructed according to the historical models. Several manufacturers specialized in this target group. There is, for example, Cash Manufacturing in Waunekee, Wisconsin, USA, that provides parts and accessories for the restauration and reconstruction of historical muzzle-loaders. But what is more interesting for us: Cash also offers a range of very peaceful products. These also correspond to historical predecessors and, up to today, are useful companions and, at the same time, demonstrate the craftsmanship of processing brass, copper and nickel silver, a copper, nickel and zinc alloy called "German silver" in the USA and rarely found today.
