Japanese towel with dots

General Information
Thoroughly cleaning. The Japanese Way.
We have these towels made for us by the textile specialist Murakami Pile in the Japanese towel stronghold of Imabari. Murakami Pile have specialized in the production of Washi fabrics (fabrics with a share of Japanese paper), but also the processing of yarns with carbon content. They add carbon particles to the viscose fibres (7%) during the spinning process. You find, therefore, the towels have a slightly greyish appearance. Moreover, the charcoal shows valued practical effects: it is odour absorbing. In combination with the absorbent viscose and the soft cotton (93%, from controlled organic cultivation), the result is an ideal cloth for use in the bathroom. Additionally, these towels combine two fabrics and offer thus a second positive feature: You may choose using one side made of a fine, dark grey terry cloth or the other side made of a lighter, smooth, linen-woven fabric. Punctual connections of the two fabrics show up as dots on the opposite sides.
