Larch Wood Folding Chair
A Remarkable Construction. Put It Together and See How It Works.
The parts: a number of solid larch slats and three strong hemp ropes. They all come together in a simple folding chair. The comfortable seating furniture has two seating positions: one is more upright and one more reclining. The flexible construction is particularly to your advantage if you are confronted with uneven ground, and it prevents the chair from tipping. We have the chair made from larch wood since the timber is just as unflappable. Untreated larch is very durable and comparatively less sensitive to the wet. Over time it will turn grey. The folding chair is a joint Finnish-Estonian production.
Remarkable Constructions with Nordic Origin.
Take ... several solid larch wood slats, stained or untreated, plus a few strong ropes made of hemp and put them together. This is what’s called simple garden furniture. The furniture comes from a Finnish-Estonian co-production. You find the designer on one and the wood supplier on the other shore of the Baltic Sea. They use only Nordic woods from certified stands or at least timber felled in monitored growing areas nearby. A short remark about larch wood: It is very durable and not overly sensitive to moisture. By and by, however, it will show the typical greying. You can reduce the ageing process with the application of a suitable care product now and then. Our supplier recommends: Please clean your larch wood furniture regularly with a damp cloth or soft brush and put it away for the winter.
Larch wood is a very resinous wood and may leave marks on cladding or on sensitive surfaces under certain circumstances.
