General Information

Controllably Cutting Branches from a Distance.

The averruncator cleanly cuts branches up to 2 cm Ø; it’s perfect for the relatively thin branches that you cannot cut smoothly with a saw. Place the shears on top and then around the branch, thereby they are secured against slipping; plus, you’ll find it easier to hold them in place. The blade moves into the wood from the side; in this way, you have complete control over the cutting process, even from meters away.

A Tackle Designed For Effortless Tree Pruning.

This tree pruner features a system of deflection rollers (including a pair of pulleys) plus a rope for turning minimal effort in maximum results. The wooden handle lies comfortably in hand, even when applying a considerable pulling force to the rope. Encyclopædia Britannica and Merriam-Webster say “to averruncate” is an old term for “to weed out”, partly influenced in meaning by the Latin term “eruncare”.
