One of many results of this approach: our bird feeder table made of weather-resistant larch wood with removable base plate and - to protect food and feathered - deeply pulled down roof.
A Roof-Covered, Spacious Bird Feeder.
The low-slung roof won’t just protect the birds from inclement weather when they stop in to feed. It also keeps the birdfeed fresh and dry. And even if rain or snow accumulates on the platform, the water runs off the four trimmed corners - which means the platform dries out quickly and the bird food won’t sit on a damp surface and get mouldy. In order to thoroughly clean off the bird food or stool remnants, the platform can easily be lifted out of the grooves inside the feeder.
Weather-proof and easy to mount.
The roof and frame are made of sturdy, weather-resistant larch wood. The feeder can be easily hung with suspension cords. We have the feeder built according to our specification in a sheltered workshop for people with disabilities in the Münster region.
