Men short coat recycled

What comes across as a classic padded short coat in terms of cut, is quite unusual and remarkable in terms of material. The outer material and lining are made entirely of recycled polyester. For the filling, the same material (share 50%) is supplemented by down (43%) and feathers (7%), which makes the coat even warmer.
Matching this are all sorts of details that make the coat unrestrictedly weatherproof. For example, there is a wide wind protection flap over the two-way zipper, the sleeve openings are equipped with tight-fitting knitted cuffs on the inside, a buttoned storm latch keeps the neck warm and the hood width can be regulated by a drawstring cord. In the front, there are two slanted insert pockets with water-repellent zippers, as well as two spacious flap pockets.
And last but not least, there are a few practical details that increase the utility of the short coat. For example, it is equipped with concealed cable guides for headphones, which (in combination with the appropriate devices) allows you to enjoy music on the go. And last but not least, two black straps are sewn into the back, through which the short coat can be shouldered like a backpack when it is not worn.

The Spaniard Javier Goyeneche has found a personal way to counter the waste of raw materials in our throwaway society – with creative ideas. In 2012, his label started producing fashion from recycled fibres. Then he initiated the revolutionary Ecoalf Ocean Project: More than 3,000 fishermen along the Spanish coast enlisted to help recover plastic waste from the sea. Goyeneche has the residues transformed into high-quality yarns for clothes, shoes and accessories. A similar project started in Thailand in 2017. Recycling all-natural textile fibres, namely cotton and wool, is another objective on Ecoalfs to-do list. Finally, the label mastered the challenge of finding new uses for old car tyres.
