Straight cut. A man’s jacket.
In the men’s style, the front, shoulder
yoke and collar are made of deerskin
leather. The collar can be worn turned
up and has a loop and button for when
the weather turns cold.
Deerskin Leather: chamois tanned, hand-dyed.
Our chamois-tanned deerskin leather
comes from Kolesch in Biberach, the
only tannery left in Germany that still
uses hammer-fulling machines. In this
process the dye is applied through repeated
brushing into the material, very
time-consuming work whose end-product
is leather with an exceptionally fine,
yet hard-wearing surface. Tanning
by this method gives the reverse side of
the leather a characteristic light yellow
shade that is still visible at the edges of
An unusually successful combination – leather with fulled yarn.
The front, yoke and collar of the jacket
are of deerskin leather, while the back
and sleeves are of soft, warm fulled
yarn made from 100% pure new wool
by Gottstein & Co. in the Tyrol. This
comfortable woollen material is an ideal
companion to the soft, light-weight leather,
which is also used for the generously-
cut elbow patches. Further
details: five genuine horn front buttons;
piped button-holes; the leather collar
has a loop and button so it can be worn
turned up. Two roomy side pockets. Inside
metal zip pocket.
