Elk leather – supple and durable.
Making high-quality garment leather
out of the skin of wild animals, including
that of a moose, is an art. Bröderna
Brandt, a Finnish tannery with more
than five decades of experience, is
considered a master in the craft and is
one of the world’s leading manufacturers
of elk leather. Their elk leather is
soft and silky to the touch, while still
being exceptionally hardwearing: natural
fats enhance the self-protecting
function of vegetable-tanned leather,
which makes it water- and stain-resistant
and more durable. The tannery was founded in 1928 in
Kokkola, Finland, and they created thisgem from their remarkable leather exclusively for us.
