Rare piece. Fine purl stitch.
Here‘s a classic men‘s sweater with Vneck
and a small, truncated collar by
the knitwear specialist Hannes Roether.
The sweater is knitted in Germany in a
rare, unusually fine type of purl stitch – which is recognizable only upon closer
inspection. As is usual for the purl
stitch, a knit stitch row alternates with a
row of tuck loops. This makes slightly
curved stitches (the so-called purls) on
the front of the knitted fabric.
