It is a famous cutlery. This is the original, as it has been forged in Solingen since 1910 under the brand "Eichenlaub": a cheek hilt cutlery, forged from stainless steel in one piece.
All knife blades are matte blue pierced and polished by hand. The "oak leaf" handles are carefully fitted, riveted and finely polished individually by hand. They are made of "Paperstone", a young, thermosetting hard fabric, manufactured from a mixture of waste paper and phenolic resins. Like all materials of this order, it is very resistant. A polish gives it a matte sheen, it is pleasant to the touch. In any case, cleaning is done exclusively under running water with a little detergent.

Since 1910 the dual riveted handle "Eichenlaub" cutlery has been forged in Solingen, Germany, from one single piece of stainless steel. The typical "Eichenlaub" half handles are adjusted by hand, riveted and finely polished. They are made out of "Paperstone", a new thermoplastic hard tissue which is very rigid - as all materials of this class are. The finish gives it a matt shine and it is comfortable to hold. The blades of the knife are matt "blaugepließtet". Should be hand-washed only, using running water and a little washing-up liquid.
