R. M. Williams Men's Suede Chelsea Boot
Put to the Test in the Australian Outback. Footwear from R. M. Williams.
For his entire life, Reginald Murray Williams, founder of R. M. Williams, was a man driven by high standards in his shoemaking profession. Standards that were daily called into play in the hostile environment of the Australian outback where his riding and workboots were put to the acid test and where the name Williams soon became an Australian synonym for the best in shoes.
Made of a single piece of leather.
The shanks of the Goodyear-welted Chelsea boots from the workshop of R. M. Williams in Adelaide are made of a single piece of leather and shaped to fit by milling afterwards. One can see that on the instep where the milling edge is located and lessens the pinching of the leather while walking, creating a better fit and increasing wearing comfort. The heels are nailed from inside; all seams are sewn with waxed thread and sealed with a final layer of wax. With the two robust loops, putting on the boots is quickly done.
